Processing natural / homeopathic for a rash?

I have carpal tunnel syndrome and have to wear a splint at night. If I do I wake up with numbness in my fingers and pain in my wrist. From the port of the splint, however, I developed a rash skin on my hand. I saw the pharmacist who prescribed a steroid cream but I am told that I should use it only for a week time. Also suggested I wear cotton gloves in the case of the splint was causing the reaction. I did everything he suggested, but the eruption. Does anyone know of any natural or homeopathic treatment I could try? I have tried treatment of hydrocortisone and it works for a very short time.
